Data Deletion Instructions
Unify by Unqode
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. This page explains how to submit a deletion request and what will be removed.
How to Request Data Deletion
- Send an email to hello@unqode.com with the subject line: "Unify Data Deletion Request".
- Include the email address associated with your Unify account so we can locate your data.
- We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
- You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion has been completed.
What Gets Deleted
Upon a confirmed deletion request, the following data associated with your account will be permanently removed from our systems:
- Your account credentials — email address, hashed password, and authentication session data.
- Your business profile — business name and any other profile details you provided.
- Connected channel tokens — Facebook Page access tokens, Instagram account tokens, and WhatsApp Business phone number associations. These tokens will also be revoked with Meta.
- Conversation history — all inbound and outbound messages stored in Unify for your connected channels (WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs).
- AI suggestion history — any stored AI-generated reply suggestions linked to your account.
- Team members and workspace data — any additional users you invited to your Unify workspace and their associated permissions.
What May Be Retained
In limited circumstances, some data may be retained after your deletion request:
- Billing records (Razorpay order/subscription IDs and payment amounts) may be retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable tax and financial regulations. This data does not include card numbers or full payment instrument details.
- Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked back to your identity.
Note About Meta Platforms
Unify accesses messages through Meta's APIs (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp). Deleting your data from Unify removes the copies stored in our systems, but does not delete message history stored within Meta's own platforms. To manage data held by Meta directly, please visit Meta's data deletion page.
